Well... we got a huge dose of the real world today... Joe got a call from a debt collecting agency. I guess that's what happens when you ignore Sallie Mae's calls for three weeks straight and don't listen to the messages... oops! I mean it's great to be done with college and all, but the prospect of student loans is kind of daunting. My "big girl" pay check is not going to seem so BIG when most of it is going to my best friends at Sallie Mae...ugh... I don't want to grow up!
We spent a good deal of time today in Santa Cruz a truly beautiful city! It was easy to get around on bikes and the scenery was wonderful! We are spending tonight just outside the city of Santa Cruz at a campground right on the beach! We can hear the waves crashing on the rocks and we have a beautiful view of the ocean.
At the campground we met a man who was finishing up a world tour!!! He started in Washington state last May, cycled across the northern tier of the country, took a plane to England, and proceeded to cycle through 19 different countries!! He estimates that he has done around 9,000 miles! He was really cool to talk too because obviously he has so many good stories!
Tonight neither of us wanted to cook or bike to a restaurant so we ordered pizza and had it delivered to the campsite! What a luxury!

PS Mom, I'm still alive.
