So it's still unreal that we are on the west coast. We are mostly traveling down Highway 101 which hugs the coast. There is high traffic of course but the shoulders are pretty big which is nice. We do miss riding next to each other and talking, we have to yell at each other to be heard over the cars on the road.
Sometimes trees or buildings block our view of the ocean but when we see it again we always get excited! Like I mentioned in a past post, I of course give my typical exclamations of "EEEEEEE" or "AHHHH" which confuses Joe a lot. It's just added another option to the already puzzling mystery. Now when I "EEEEEE" it could be a pot hole, road kill, or the pacific ocean!!
One of the cool things about being on the west coast is there are cyclist EVERWHERE!!! we are staying at a campsite tonight with 8 other cyclist all doing the same trail as us (more or less). We exchanged numbers so hopefully tomorrow night we can stay at the same campsite again! It's also pretty easy cycling. There are no giant mountains just rolling hills. Today we easily were riding 18 mph on a stretch of flat road for about 30 minutes! This is good because we literally stop at every view point or pull off to take pictures and awe at the sight. We have been getting into camp late because we stop so often!!

PS Mom, I'm still alive.
