Even though I took a 3 hour slumber yesterday afternoon we still went to bed at 8pm and decided to sleep late until 7am! We didn't get on the road until 9am and decided to just take it easy for the morning.
When we got to the town about 15 miles away we stopped at the post office because we had sent ourselves a package, nothing special, just a spoke repair kit! Next to the post office was a family dollar store and we decided to have a sugar fest! We ate a whole package of Oreos as well as a big bag of chocolate covered donuts. We also bought a bag of M&Ms to add to our nuts/trail mix snack bag. After that sugar rush we were peddling a bit faster.
We were planning to stay at a campground in Murphysboro tonight but when we arrived it was really creepy! We ended up calling the fire department and we are camping outside on the little piece of lawn that they have! As a plus, it is next to the police station! I definitely feel more safe!
Tomorrow we are planning on taking a detour to St. Louis to visit with some of Joe's family for a few days. We also plan to do some sight seeing!

PS Mom, I'm still alive.
